- How did Mobile Solutions help your business?
Mobile
Solutions training helped our technicians to be more
efficient in not only custom fabrication, but with
their daily jobs as well.
- How many custom jobs did it take for your store(s)
to get a return on your training investment?
We started seeing a difference
in productivity the very first day after training.
Everyone was excited to try the new techniques, and
employee morale was high. I believe that the extra
profit made on the first custom job after the training
helped to pay for most of the training costs because
we got the job done a lot quicker than we initially
expected, mostly due to the time-saving techniques
that we learned. Knowledge is power, and the
return on our investment is never-ending.
- How would you describe your expectation of the
training versus the result of the training?
My expectation was that Bryan
would show us much of the same training we had when
he was at Rockford Fosgate, along with a few new
things. I was totally wrong. We learned new things
that he had developed over the last few years, all
of which help us in everyday jobs, as well as high-end
custom fabrication. His
style of having a classroom style session followed by a hands-on demonstration
is unique in that it helps the students to retain what they learned by not
only “seeing”, but “doing” as well.
- Do you feel that the MS training has given you
a competitive edge in the market place?
Absolutely! Mobile
Solutions has definitely given us a competitive edge
in the marketplace. Doing things quicker, smarter,
safer, and more precise always keeps us ahead.
- How would you describe the main benefit of the
training?
The main benefit in Mobile
Solutions training is that we get to learn tips & techniques
from a world-class designer, trainer, and fabricator. He not only shows
us plenty of cool ideas and techniques, but how to
implement them into our business to actually make
money. He showed us how to do something in 20 minutes
that would have normally taken 3-4 hours. Time is
money, and we can sure benefit from saving time to
make more money!
- How did you hear about MS?
We knew Bryan when he trained
us for Rockford Fosgate, and is highly respected
for his accomplishments in building the most advanced
demo vehicles for various manufacturers and companies. His award-winning designs have gathered
more “Best of Show” awards than anyone else, and are envied
by many in the industry.
- What type of training was provided, how long was
it, and where was it held?
We had Fabrication Essentials
and Advanced Fabrication for two days at our store
location, using much of our own tools and equipment. This made
our technicians feel right at home while they learned. Bryan genuinely
wants to help his clients, as shown by his flexible scheduling around the retailer’s
time frame. He understands that it may be hard for some stores to close
its doors during the day for training, and is more than willing to hold sessions
at night.
Mobile Solutions is a company that is an asset
to our industry. We had
Bryan come to our location in Honolulu, HI to do training for two days. Due
to budget constraints of most manufacturers, it was a while since we actually
had training from someone qualified who would teach us something we didn’t
already know. Obviously, we were anxiously waiting for Bryan to come
to our store.
While we had Bryan train us previously when he
worked for Rockford Fosgate, we really didn’t
know what to expect this time around with his new
company. I
can honestly say that Mobile Solutions training was worth every penny,
and then some! Having Bryan just for our store
was personalized and very rewarding. He breaks
down complicated procedures into easy steps, making
sure everyone understands each one before moving on. He has years
of experience training installers all over the world, and it shows in his
high quality presentations and hands-on sessions. I buy just about
every fabrication video I can get my hands on, and let me tell you – I
learned more useful information from Bryan’s training in one hour
than watching all the videos in my collection!
In addition to all
the tips, tricks, and techniques that he taught us, he introduced us to
the tools and parts that he sells in his catalog. His
Smart Parts are exactly what the name implies. We bought almost everything
in his catalog. Smart Templates are a dream come true. They
are ingenious and sensible. Tons of time is saved, and the shapes
couldn’t
be more accurate – they are CNC machined, and Bryan CAD-engineered
them himself!
Bryan has always
preached that custom installation should be profitable. His
training and parts give the retailer the tools they need to make sure that
it is. He is constantly developing new techniques and searching for
tools which allow us to take our installations to the next level. It

Bryan is one of the few fabricators in this industry
that always strives for a better way of doing things. The methods and techniques
he teaches, as well as the "Smart Parts" that Mobile Solutions
provide are very smart and efficient. I think that everyone that attends
one of his trainings will learn at least one thing (if not many) that will
make them more efficient at custom fabrication, and they will definitely
get a return on their investment.
Bryan and I have known each other and have had a mutual respect for each other
as leading edge demo car builders (Rockford Fosgate / Alpine) going back to
1999. He is one of the most talented and knowledgeable people in our industry.
