Pigments come in 8oz. cans as a viscous liquid. They are compatible with all polyester, vinylester and epoxy resins as well as gelcoats. Our recommendation has always been that pigments can be added at rates up to 2% by volume. Pigments can also be blended to form other colors — with care! Fabricators use pigments to give the fiberglass part a more “fi nished” look when it’s fi nally cured. That way you can eliminate the wasted time of painting it or doing something else to take away the “ugly” of the back side of the panel or part. Mobile Solutions sells Black and Blue pigment. If you need other colors, ask us to special order them!
