Greetings from Sunny Arizona!

Mobile Solutions is having a benchmark 2009 and I wanted to share some of the excitement with you. I’ve been super busy personally and traveled extensively. I’ve been to Australia, Canada, and throughout the U.S. so far this year. I’ve interfaced with many of you in those travels. I’m continually amazed at the level of talent that I run into as well as the drive to be better!

As vehicle complexity continues to increase, you’ll need new skills, tools, and solutions to keep up. Rest assured, Mobile Solutions is at the top of our game in regards. Speaking of being at the top of our game, we just completed our all new World Class facility! Read all about it below.

On a personal note, I’m happy to report that I put aside some time for a honeymoon . . . that’s right, in the middle of it all, Michele and I were married on August 28th!

Mobile Solutions Puts the Finishing Touches on Our All New Facility!

Moving into an empty building is bewildering! The best thing about having a big open space is that you can put the walls where you like. This is exactly what we did. Beginning in May of this year, we spent the next five months building the ideal facility! This facility is complete with a 650 sq. foot metal shop, 500 sq. foot wood shop, and 1700 sq. foot installation bay / class room. As you can imagine, this was a monumental task but the end result is simply awesome!

Our metal shop, wood shop, and installation bay are equipped with the latest and greatest tools and safety equipment. Our metal shop is the only that I know off equipped with the all new Build Pro welding table. Building projects of any type in this facility is a real pleasure. The main purpose of this facility is to teach students of the Mobile Solutions Master Tech Boot Camp program an entirely new set of skills – a set of skills that you’ll only learn at Mobile Solutions! We also build many different prototype and vehicle specific projects. You just never know what you might see in our shop.

Master Tech Boot Camp, Sept 21st – 25th

The timing on this couldn’t have been better. Just as the last of the dust collection system installation was completed, we hosted a full house! 17 students attended this Boot Camp session and they were simply blown away. Topics covered were:

• Subwoofer Enclosure Blueprinting and Fabrication
• Creating Trim Panels and Interior Trim Enhancements
• Cosmetic and Structural Integration
• Audio System Design, Tuning, and Calibration
• Building Aftermarket Audio Systems from OEM Source Units

Within these topics, we featured our ever popular 3D Router Techniques, Fiberglass Techniques, and OEM Integration. These students were the first to use our all new facility!
