This 2007 Honda Civic is simple and clean. It also
utilizes some great shapes, techniques and materials throughout the fabrication process. Making it a champion by the judges of the 2009 "Pioneer Build-Off.

Fabrication of custom kick panels

Step 1:
Using a special MS fiberglass technique one-piece kick panel lay-up was created. MS fiberglass, resin and masking tape are all you'll need.

Step 2:
A solid baffle and trim ring were fabricated
using MDF and glued to fiberglass mold using
MS instant Glue.

Step 3:
Kick-panel inserted using threaded insert and machine bolt for strength and serviceability. 		Step 4:
Router 1/2" MDF inserts using MS circle templates
and shaped to fit new opening in door panel.

Step 5:
Body filler utilized to shape and match the remaining interior elements

 Step 6:
Finished custom contoured MDF trims ring with
vinyl and added MS steel mess grille cut to fit for protection.
Step 7:
MS vinyl wrapping technique used for a flawless finished kick-panel		 Finished
